Elephant Roundup Festival
Elephant Roundup Festival is celebrated annually in the end of November and has no fixed date. The festival is world’s biggest happening for elephants and takes place in Surin province known as the “province of elephants”. The Elephant Roundup Festival is dedicated to the elephant as it played a key role in the past during wars against invading armies. The elephant as a national symbol of Thailand deserves to be respected.
During the Elephant Roundup Festival you will see more than 100 elephants together demonstrating incredible skills, powerful intelligence and skills. Also the festival is accompanied by traditional and cultural performances. The Elephant Roundup Festival is organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
