Chiang Mai Flower Festival
Chiang Mai city is popular with its flower valleys. Thats why each year in the first week of February is held the Grand Flower Festival of Chiang Mai that is exactly the time when all the flowers are in blossom and this period is regarded as the most beautiful. Rare species can be seen as globe amaranth, celosia, Ban Chun, African marigold, orchids and many more.
Along the streets are on display many different kinds of flowers with millions of different aromas surrounding the atmosphere. A lot of competitions and contests take place like Beauty contest, Flower Competition, Best Arranged Garden, Miss Chiang Mai Beauty Contest, different parades and more. Chiang Mai is the greatest flower show in Thailand and must be seen.
