Kite Festival

Kite Festival in Thailand is gaining more and more popularity. Kite Festival is usually held in Bangkok but in 2002 it was in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. It is the biggest festival in the world and each year in the beginning of March a Kite Festival is performed and has the name International Kite Festival Thailand. Kite fans from around the world gather and show their kites, abilities in making them and controlling them in the air.

Tourism Authority of Thailand also helps to organize the event. During the Kite Festival also many contests are held like Best Kite, Biggest Kite, Most Exotic Kite and many more. Traditional Thai kites represent male and female character but many different kites can be seen. Variety of sizes and colors is infinite.
